Course Highligts: This course features lectures given by several instructors of the department. Each will give some introductory information among the many subject of geology.

Course Description: This course is held in the classroom. Instructors from different sub-branches of the department will provide students some elementary information that will allow students to understand what they are going to learn during their entire undergraduate education period. Some subjects of the course are the processes acting and shaping Earth’s surface, the composition and classification of minerals and rocks, natural hazards, climate change, the study of past climate, the engineering applications of geology and how geology can provide sources for energy / power- generation.
