Currently, I am working on monitoring environmental pollution using different Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) concept. I have created a spin-off company, EKOFLY with start-up support from TUBİTAK in 2013. The startup project was design and development of an amphibious unmanned air vehicle with an autopilot system. There have been 100 flight test for this project at two different lakes. The UAV designed and manufactured can take off and land to the lakes. By use of a multispectral/thermal camera, water quality assessment and thermal mapping can be done.

As a summary, my research has focused on understanding geospatial modeling of hydrological/hydrogeological process and their parameterizations in numerical applications. I view land as an integral part of the earth system, linking the atmosphere, biosphere, ocean, water environment and solid earth. In all my studies, I use interdisciplinary powerful methodologies to integrate and model the earth systems such as in-situ measurement (data logging system), Geographic Information System, Geospatial Analysis and UAV remote sensing.
