Course materials:

  • Colour Pencils (set of 12)
  • Ruler (min 30cm in length)
  • Triangle protractor
  • 2 x Pencil (HB, B)
  • Needle-point pencil (≤ 0.5)
  • Soft rubber/eraser
  • Pencil sharpener

  • Squared paper (millimetric, 10 pages)
  • Clipboard with cover

Usefull Software:

Stereonet 9
Stereonet is a software developed by Richard W. Allmendinger from the Dept. of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences at Cornell University. The software allows to plot  orientation measurements of linear and planar surfaces on a stereographic projection. Data points can also be plotted on a Google Sattelite or terrain image if location information is provided. You will complete some of your course homework assignments using this software. Visit Rick Almendinger Stuff page for other applications.
